Data Solution Information from OLRH

This information is being shared on behalf of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, Office of Local and Regional Health, and questions should be directed to OLRH as described below.

OLRH is excited to share updates about our work to build a data solution that all health departments across the state can use to collect, organize, share, and report public health data and streamline their daily work. Our aim is to provide better, faster, more actionable and equitable public health insights for Massachusetts communities.

Currently, we’re conducting initial research to understand what you need and want to improve your work with data (collecting, reporting, and analyzing) and daily tasks. We’re looking for volunteers from local public health to share insights so that we can build a system that works for you. We’ll be looking for your input through 100+ touchpoints — including listening sessions, focus groups, 1-1 interviews, office hours with OLRH, and user testing with solution prototypes.

If you’re willing to participate in any of these touchpoints, please fill out this form to indicate your interest!

In addition, all Health Directors should have received a survey at the beginning of the week with the subject line: You’re invited to take the “Local Public Health Systems, Tools, and Users” Survey. We are hoping to get one response from every municipality. If a community feels they did not receive the survey or has questions, they can reach out to Michelle Surdyk at michelle.k.surdyk@mass.gov.
